Well, our 1 year anniversary came and went, and it’s high time I wrote about it.
This time last year I…:
- Was out on a boys night celebrating life and Mark’s bday.
- Got a message from Kirstie at 10:30pm which would change my life in an instant
- Spent the hour between 10:30 – 11:30pm, pushing for confirmation that I wasn’t imagining things in my head
- Spent 4 hours drinking water in an attempt to sober up. Partially worked.
- Jumped into Kirstie’s car outside Ambar, drove off into the night and the rest is history!
My life has changed in so many ways since then, and I can now see a lot further into the future than I once could. I look forward to every day and know I’ll be happy for a long time to come.

It’s been nearly 18 months since the last Rogaine. This time (in October), Kirstie is coming along and I’m really looking forward to it. Is it wrong to look forward to walking for 10-12 hours? Anyway, this should be fun! An excuse to buy some arctic style sleeping bags at any rate. Emma & Mark, we might need to borrow your floor to test them out

Last weekend we shipped Our Dyson vacuum back to Hong Kong with my sister.
A replacement was necessary, and what a deluxe find.
The Wertheim 6030.
This bad boy has it all, including a 10 year included service plan. On a vacuum cleaner.
But is this all just smoke and mirrors?
First try was to give it a run on the carpet with the power head. This is a separarte powered head to the main unit, which has it’s own roller that picks up dirt. It even has a light to show when the floor is clean underneath. You can adjust the height so it can be pushed with the right level of traction for your carpet.
The second test was the couches. These get covered in cat hair, and can take 10 mins to vacuum. A switch of the power head to the upholstery head (complete with own roller) enabled me to clean the couch in no more than 30 seconds. And it was spotless.
Best vacuum I’ve ever used. Blows the Dyson out of the water.
