I don’t know if I’m super sensitive to these issues now that I’m a vegetarian, but I saw this logo recently and it kind of took me by surprise. Most take-away shops have their logo semi-removed from what they actually do to animals. Most chicken places show a colourful chicken logo, or some abstract thing.Charcoal chicken however, have a different tact. Hey, here’s a chicken that’s alive and smiling, while we put flames underneath it? That’s bordering on psychotic don’t you think?

I really wanted to get my hands on the Singstar bundle (microphones included) for the PS3. We had enough trouble getting hold of it in Canberra, so I knew it would be difficult. Went to 5 stores and noone had it. Looked online and every store I could find was out of stock until 20th March.
After a few pages in the google results, a store popped up showing “In Stock”. I immediately ordered it, and realised the store was in Perth. I received e-mails promptly telling me it was purchased, I enquired to confirm it was actually in stock, and received a reply saying yes they had just received a shipment and it was being posted. An hour later I received a tracking number, and it should arrive today. Guitar Hero III should arrive today or tomorrow. Well done TotalGamesToys!
Update: I have it in my hot little hands, was delivered at 9:50am, about 18 hours after I ordered it.

Yesterday we bought a Sony Playstation 3. I’ve never really liked much of Sony’s gear, and up until recently have been a bit skeptical of the PS3. Until now. The PS3 is awesome. Just some of the reasons I prefer it to the XBOX 360.
- Built in wireless
- Stream audio/video direct from the network
- Sexier user interface
- Sexier design
- Now that HD-DVD is dead, the BluRay player comes in handy

Yesterday I received my Three 3G modem in the post for their mobile broadband service. Open the box, Mac OS X install disk stares back at me. Install drivers, follow setup instructions (screenshots seem to be from an older version). No action. A quick google turned up this highly informative post which solved all my problems.

This is an awesome photo set of the aftermath of hurricane Katrina. The photographer (Rob Sheridan) is a guy who does a lot of artwork for Nine Inch Nails, but I only stumbled across this unrelated this morning. I really love the base web site layout and interactivity too.

A successful week of waking up at 6:30, having breakfast, having my lunch packed, catching the train/walking to work. Not so successful at leaving work early, but I’ve been trying. Managed it a few days. Last day of work, then a week off to head over to Caaberra & Melbourne. Can’t wait!

Last night we sat at the table (for the first time) and ate dinner together. I cooked dal, rice & chapatis (made a massive mess in the kitchen), and opened a bottle of wine. We sat and ate and talked until there was no more light and then we retreated to the bedroom at the nanna time of 9pm.

Finally, Perth has begun to move forward.
Welcome to Perth Waterfront, a brilliant development at a spectacular location. Perth was born on the banks of the Swan River, now it is time for that connection to be rediscovered.
It will be a place for everyone – visitors to Perth and people living or working there will all enjoy the beauty and the lifestyle of the city.

Today I hit the jackpot thanks to Kirstie. My lunch consists of:
- crackers and beetroot dip
- honey dew melon and strawberries
- carrot sticks and snow peas
- chilli cashew stir fry
- wholegrain muesli bar
Finally, I believe I will get through the complete work day without going hungry.
